Welcome to Hipfig’s Travel Guide series on Dubai United Arab Emirates. In this
video we’ll share our experience with Ski Dubai in the Mall Emirates in the
city of Dubai. It’s my hope that our Ski Dubai guide will help you with your
magical trip to the winter wonderland in the desert. You can easily get to Ski
Dubai by using the Big Bus or Sightseeing hop-on hop-off bus tours
both which have stops in the mall of emirates. A convenient and faster way to
get to ski dubai is by the Dubai Metro Red line Although the Dubai Metro can get crowded, it is still faster than driving across downtown Dubai in a car. For more information
about the Dubai Metro watch our video on Dubai Local Transportation. Ski Dubai is a huge indoor snow sports and entertainment facility located in the
Mall of Emirates which is on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. The Mall of Emirates is one of the first super malls in Dubai it is 233,467 square meters. The
beautifully designed Mall ofl Emirates has many shops but also includes the Magic
Planet family entertainment area, VOX cinemas, a 500 seat capacity divided
community theater and art centre, 90 international dining and cafe options,
and of course ski dubai. Exit the Dubai Metro red line at the Mall of Emirates
metro stop and then follow signs to the Mall of Emirates and walk through an
enclosed air-conditioned walkway. Once in the Mall of Emirates follow the
signs for Ski Dubai it would be about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the metro stop
to Ski Dubai entrance. If you prefer you can also take a taxi to the Mall of
Emirates. You can also take the Dubai RTA buses please check on the Dubai RTA bus or bus numbers and routes to the Mall of Emirates. Ski Dubai is located on the
ground floor of the Mall of Emirates next to the Cheesecake Factory restaurant. We took the Dubai Metro red line and walked leisurely through the Mall of Emirates.
The Mall of Emirates is an ornately decorated mall that’s huge What I appreciate about the Mall of
Emirates was the food court which had a good variety but don’t expect it to be
cheap. The food court is one floor above Ski Dubai so we ended up at the Shake
Shack restaurant for a quick lunch before hitting the slopes.
After lunch we took the escalator down to the Ski Dubai entrance then walked to
the ticket line. You can purchase tickets online or purchase them when you arrive
for full price. We recommend buying online for discounts. We had a Go Dubai
multi=attraction card which offers discount deals. We’ve added a link on our
website for your convenience. We showed our Go Dubai card at the ticket counter
and they scan it and issued us a ticket which is in the form of a card for the
polar pass. There’s a lot of ticket options to choose from
but the one we chose, the polar pass, is the general admission ticket. Please note
also that children under the – age of 2 are not allowed. Once we got our ticket /
cards we walk through the gift shop and picked out our own gloves and there’s
also socks if needed. We exited to the clothes and snow shoe counter. We waited in another queue to receive a ski jacket, pants, and snow shoes. Opposite of this counter
are the free lockers and dressing area Simply use your ski dubai card to open
and lock your locker instructions are written on the lockers.
Please note that you will put your ski clothes over your street clothes. Right
before you enter the ski dubai main skiing area, there are helmets. Be sure to
pick one up especially for kids. Once we were ready, we placed our ski dubai card
near the card reader and the doors of the entrance opened for us. We walked through a cave-like area near the Penguins experience and then into the main ski
dubai arena. We were struck by the size of the ski dubai arena. There are full
ceilings to floor windows where people from the mall can see inside ski Dubai.
It was a bit surreal. You see people on the outside of Ski Dubai wearing shorts and
short-sleeved shirts and here we are all bundled up and the people inside are playing in the snow. We made our way to the bobsleds which is much faster than I thought and
we did this several more times. We then moved to other snow fun like the giant tubing
area. This was pretty fun. You could go by yourself or have double tubes. Oddly
there was even bumper cars which was especially popular with our kids.
FYI Ski Dubai is open from 10:00 a.m. to midnight daily also the Polar Pass
includes the unlimited access to the snow park. and the giant ball, with one
ride each on mountain thriller and chairlift, and a pair of fleece gloves This was a fun day at ski Dubai!
It can take four or more hours depending on your interest and how much time you
spend on the other activities in the Mall of Emirates. Happy Travels. Go to hipfig.com for more information or go to our Hipfig Travel Channel on YouTube and be
